Welcome to Shire Guitars

Shire Guitars specialises in guitar and bass guitar maintenance and repairs.  Based near Ironbridge in Shropshire, it's a place where guitar lovers can bring their prized and cherished instruments, knowing they'll be lovingly cared for by a safe pair of hands.

It's also a place where musicians can come and share knowledge and experiences with somebody as enthusiastic about their instrument(s) as they are.

Brendon Riley of Shire GuitarsEstablished in 2012 by Brendon Riley, a touring backline technician for established artists including Fun Lovin' Criminals, Magnum and Smokie, Shire Guitars was initially something to keep him busy in his spare room at home between tours.

Over the years the range of services offered has increased, with each instrument always bringing with it a new challenge, and visitors can also choose from a great selection of guitar accessories and consumables including plectrums, cables, strings, straps and more.

Among others, Shire Guitars counts the likes of Miles Hunt & Malc Treece (The Wonder Stuff), Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin' Criminals), Mick McConnell & Terry Uttley (Smokie) and Tony Clarkin & Al Barrow (ex-Magnum) as loyal customers.

Why choose Shire Guitars?

In Brendon's own words, "I'd like to think that when people meet me, they find I listen keenly to what they require, what appeals to them and what they're looking to achieve with their instrument.  Shire Guitar exists for every guitar player, be it a high profile touring musician, a person playing for their own enjoyment in their bedroom and every kind of player in between.

"The calibre of bands I'm working with obviously inspires confidence with those who've not used Shire Guitars before, but really it's about putting customer satisfaction at the centre of everything I do."

He continues: "These aren't empty words.  Any customer not completely satisfied with the service Shire Guitars has done on their instrument are welcome to bring it back for further readjustment free of charge.

"I love playing guitar, and I want every one of my customers to get maximum enjoyment from playing theirs."
